On November 14, in the Parliament of Georgia, with the initiative of the Environment Protection and Natural Resources Committee, a discussion was held on the issue of adjusting the boundaries of the forest fund.
The legislative initiative was prepared by the member organisations of the Georgian National Platform – the Green Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth Georgia, the Caucasus Network of Environmental Non-Governmental Organisations (CENN) and the Human Rights Center, which envisages revising the issue of adjusting the boundaries of the forest fund for resort recreational purposes.
At the meeting, a decision was made to bring the legislative initiative to the plenary session.
Representatives of the organisations involved in the preparation of the legislative initiative participated in the meeting.
