At a working meeting in the Parliament of Georgia, the civil society organizations presented the vision of the judicial system reform. A legislative proposal was developed by the member organizations of the platform and registered in the parliament, which fully complies and reflects the recommendations of the Venice Commission, the OSCE/ODIHR and European Commission. The presentation and discussion of the legislative proposal took place at the meeting of the working group.

In relation to the implementation of the 9 steps/recommendations of the European Union, the discussion on the reform of the judicial system took place in the format of an argumentative discussion between the parties.

The legislative proposal developed by the authors “On Amendments to the Constitution of Georgia”, “On the General Courts of Georgia” on Amendments to the Organic Law of Georgia”, “On the Prosecutor’s Office” on Amendments to the Organic Law of Georgia”, “On the Fight Against Corruption” on Amendments to the Law of Georgia in relation to draft laws and “Amendments to the Regulations of the Parliament of Georgia” draft of the Regulations of the Parliament of Georgia.

On February 22, referring to the implementation of the 9 steps of the European Union, the 3rd regular working meeting conducted in the Parliament of Georgia, where they discussed the reform of the judicial system.

Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili was directly involved in the discussion, representatives of the parliamentary majority and the opposition, as well as member organizations of the Georgian National Platform attended from the side of the civil society.
