On September 14, the second joint conference “Georgia’s Road to the European Union” was held by the Georgian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and the Parliament of Georgia.

Speaker of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Chairperson of National Platform, Head of Georgian Green Movement/Friends of the Earth Nino Chkhobadze and Ambassador of European Union to Georgia Pawel Herczynski addressed the participants and invited guests in the opening part of the event.

The participants of the joint conference discussed the issues of environmental protection, agriculture, economic integration and labor rights, and it was held in the format of a joint discussion between the representatives of the ruling party, the opposition, the diplomatic corps and the civil sector.

The first joint conference “Georgia’s Road to the European Union” was held on July 25 and the issues of justice and electoral reform were discussed.

All sessions of the conference were open for media.
