Members of the Georgian National Platform met with the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation process of the 12-point recommendation developed by the European Commission.
The Parliament of Georgia, in relation to specific points, established thematic working groups, in which the participation of civil society was determined by the involvement of member organizations of the Georgian National Platform. The Coordinating Council of GNP, as a result of the consultations, presented the organizations in the working groups. They have developed specific proposals and visions that we believe will ensure effective execution of each point. The mentioned opinions, in written form, were sent to the President for consideration.
At the third meeting with the President, the proposals and visions prepared by the GNP members were discussed. Also, the organizations presented in the working groups briefly reviewed and summarized the work process of the working groups. The areas where an agreement could be reached were highlighted and the problematic area was also discussed.
