Since December 4, the Ministry of Internal Affairs  of Georgia has shifted to a new tactic – to begin illegal searches and raids on the offices of political parties and civil society organizations. The leaders of two opposition coalitions and the civil society members have been detained and beaten. Brutal violence, severe beatings and inhuman treatment of detainees are revealed in police detentions and measures that serves only one purpose – to intimidate Georgian citizens and force them to stop civil protests.
