On November 28, 2019, a sectoral meeting was held at the Information Center on NATO and the European Union, which was attended by the Chairman of the Georgian National Platform, Lasha Tugushi, the coordinators of the third working group: Nino Chkhobadze and Murman Margvelashvili, as well as representatives of environmental organizations.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations, within the sectoral meeting, shared their views and recommendations with the representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture on the following issues:
>The issue of forests draft law and municipal forests;
>Passing a water law;
>On the Marine Strategy Action Plan.
Sectoral meetings are mediated by the EU Assistance Coordination and Sectoral Integration Department of the Sector Integration Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture:
>Lasha Inauri – Head of the Department of Environment and European Integration of Agriculture;
>Nino Latsabidze – Head of the European Integration Division of the Department of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of the European Integration of Agriculture.
>Lasha Akhalaia – Specialist of the Sustainable Development Division of the Department of Environment and Agriculture, Environment and Climate Change.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness for future cooperation.
